Overwhelmed and Don’t Know How to Fight ICE and the MAGA agenda?

How small actions can defend democracy.

With everything going on in the world, it is difficult to even know where to start. It is easy to become overwhelmed by the sheer horror of the terrible things Trump and his people are doing, and to feel helpless to make any difference.

Do things anyway.

Do one small thing, such as donate money. Or donate time to advocate, or to protest, or to take hot chocolate and donuts or pizza out to those in the cold protesting (or water and sandwiches in warmer weather).

Do one small thing to defend freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. Then do another thing. Then another.

This is not a sprint; it is a marathon. When you don’t know where to begin: start with one small thing. Volunteer. Then volunteer again. And again.

The MAGA forces conspiring to harm our system of government want you to give up, want you to feel overwhelmed, and want you to do nothing. That is how they win.

So do one thing to support protesters. Then do another, and then another. This is how we win, one small act by one American combined with another small act by another prodemocracy American, combined with one small act of thousands of other Americans.

This is winnable.
